About Us

The Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) is a non-banking financial institution, founded in 2012, by Presidential Decree, given the need for an entity to facilitate access to bank credit for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, through mechanisms of public guarantees, for the development of its activities.

The FGC is also responsible for the promotion, protection, and development of the National System of Guarantees, as well as acting as a counter-guarantor in the operations of other institutions together with all financial institutions dedicated to granting credit guarantees.

The organization operates under the rules defined in the Regulation for the Public Guarantees Mechanism for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Individual Entrepreneurs in Angola.

The FGC is subject to the supervision of the Executive Power, exercised by the Ministerial Department responsible for Public Finance.
